WHERE DID IT GO?” — HAYDEN’S EX SOUNDS THE ALARM OVER MISSING PROPERTY

A legal move involving Hayden Panettiere’s daughter has suddenly raised a much bigger question: what happened to the late actress’s property — and who is making sure it reaches her 11-year-old daughter, Kaya?
Wladimir Klitschko, Panettiere’s former fiancé and the father of her daughter, has gone to court seeking temporary guardianship of Kaya’s estate, arguing that immediate action is needed to protect the inheritance he says she is entitled to receive.
But the request is about far more than simply managing an inheritance.
In newly filed court documents, Klitschko described the situation as “urgent and essential,” saying he needs legal authority to receive, manage and hold Kaya’s assets on her behalf. The filing also raises concerns about property at Panettiere’s Los Angeles home, personal belongings that are allegedly missing or unaccounted for, and access to the actress’s estate following her death.
And one question hangs over the entire filing:
Where did it go?
According to the court papers, Klitschko said he is “informed and believes” that federal agents entered Panettiere’s Los Angeles residence as part of an ongoing investigation and removed property belonging to her estate.
The filing does not identify the individual Klitschko is concerned about. But he claims there is a continuing risk that someone could attempt to take or improperly use property belonging to Panettiere’s estate.
That is why, according to the documents, he believes a personal representative needs to be appointed without delay.
The concern reportedly goes back even further.
Before Panettiere’s death, Klitschko said he and the actress had hired a security service because of a documented concern that someone had gained unauthorized access to her property.
After her death, the security company reportedly changed the locks at Panettiere’s home. Storage units containing designer clothing and accessories that she had worn at public appearances were also moved as a precaution.
Those details give the legal filing a strikingly different dimension.
This is no longer simply a question of who will eventually control Kaya’s inheritance. The documents paint a picture of an estate that, according to Klitschko, needs to be secured while questions remain about what happened to some of Panettiere’s belongings.
Klitschko also alleged that people who were not members of Panettiere’s family had accessed and destroyed some of her emails.
Then there are the personal items.

According to the filing, certain belongings — including jewelry — have “disappeared or remain unaccounted for.” Some items, Klitschko said, are currently in the possession of law enforcement.
That creates another layer of uncertainty surrounding an estate that was already becoming the subject of legal and family disputes.
Panettiere’s jewelry had already become a point of contention among her parents following her death. According to a Greenville County coroner’s report obtained by Page Six, her parents, Lesley Vogel and Skip Panettiere, disagreed over where earrings Panettiere was wearing when she died should be sent.
One parent wanted the jewelry mailed to North Carolina. The other wanted it sent to California.
Now, Klitschko’s filing introduces a much broader concern involving Panettiere’s property and the assets that could ultimately belong to Kaya.
The stakes are especially significant because Kaya is still a child.
Klitschko says in the court documents that his daughter “is entitled to the entirety” of Panettiere’s assets. His request is therefore centered on obtaining temporary authority to protect and manage those assets until the appropriate estate arrangements are made.
The legal filing comes only weeks after Panettiere’s death at age 35.
The actress, best known for roles in Heroes and Nashville, died Aug. 16 in South Carolina. Her death was attributed to the toxic effects of multiple drugs, including fentanyl.
In the aftermath, questions surrounding her belongings and estate have quickly become another painful chapter for those closest to her.
Panettiere and Klitschko had a long, complicated history. The former couple dated on and off from 2009 to 2018 and welcomed Kaya in 2014.
In 2018, Panettiere gave up custody of Kaya while struggling with postpartum depression and addiction. Kaya has since lived in Ukraine with her father.
But Panettiere continued to insist that her relationship with her daughter remained deeply important to her.
Just months before her death, she spoke publicly about the bond she shared with Kaya, describing it as “really intense” and “incredible.”
She also pushed back against claims that she had abandoned her daughter.
During a May appearance on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast, Panettiere said the idea that she would simply give away her child and be comfortable with it was heartbreaking, insisting that the reality was completely different.
Now, after her death, the legal battle over what happens to her estate is putting Kaya at the center of the situation once again.
And that is what makes Klitschko’s latest court filing so significant.
He isn't simply asking for authority over an inheritance. He is asking the court to give him the legal ability to receive, manage and safeguard assets belonging to his daughter at a moment when, according to his filing, some of Panettiere’s property remains missing, disputed or in the hands of authorities.
The documents also indicate that there is currently no personal representative in place to protect Panettiere’s estate.
For Klitschko, that absence appears to be the central problem.
If an estate has valuable personal belongings, property and other assets — and there are already questions about who has accessed them — every delay can become more consequential.
That is the argument behind his request for temporary guardianship.
Still, the allegations in the filing remain allegations made in court papers. The documents do not establish that any particular person stole Panettiere’s belongings, nor do they publicly resolve exactly what happened to every item Klitschko says is missing or unaccounted for.
What they do show is that the fight over Panettiere’s estate has moved into a new phase.
And now the question isn't only who gets Hayden Panettiere’s legacy.
It is whether everything that was supposed to become part of that legacy can first be located, protected and accounted for.

So where did it go — and who will ultimately be responsible for making sure her mother’s remaining assets are still there when the estate is finally settled?
